Commodore, Rick Rozzell opens the Memorial Day Services.  Standing behind the Commodore is (l-r) 2nd Vice Commodore, Alfred Skinner, Judge Advocate, John Mauer and Chaplain, Earl Bailey.

12th District Commander Elect, Tim Shigley, gave the keynote address.  Behind Tim is members of the Navy Marine Post 276, the Belleau Woods Detachment of the Marine Corps League and the flowered anchor to be laid on the waters of the Scioto River in rememberance of our Sea Survices.

On the left is family members of Roy Girod, Shawn Delgado, the Navy honorees of the day and other guests.  Just to the right of the stoller is Udo Mariscger, President of the Columbus Chapter of the Navy League.

Family members of Roy Girod, USN Retired, receive the Croft Merritt Leadership award in recognition of his long and distinguished Naval career and his continued service to the community.  Roy passed away this year and will be missed by the veteran community.

Gunnery Sargeant Shawn Delgado receives the Croft Merritt Leadership reward for hi distinquished service in the Marine Corps. and his continued service to the community and his fellow veterans.  Congratulations!

The Honor Detail from American Legion Don Gentile Post 532 fired the three round volley for our comrades in the Sea Services.

Bill Dilts of American Legion Columbus Post 1 played TAPS.

The flowered anchor was placed on the waters of the Scioto River in rememberance of those in the Sea Services that have passed on.  Here, the anchor can be seen floating on the newly re-routed Scioto River at the base of the Broad Street Bridge.
